✓ Scroll down the scale. Yes—down.
✓ Find a state that’s at least 3–5 points below where you think you are.
✓ Gently feel around. Try the words on. Say them out loud. “Am I feeling… defeated? Desperate? Just plain done?”
If one of them resonates, stop there.
That’s your emotional starting point.
Not to fix. Not to bypass. Just to meet.
🌫️ The Goal Right Now Isn’t Joy. It’s Relief.

Financial safety nets: If you have one, lean into it. Call in support. Delay the bill. Shift the deadline.
Physical relief: Walk, cry, stretch, nap, hide under a blanket. There’s no wrong move.
Emotional first-aid: Talk to someone you trust. Listen to music. Journal what you’re feeling without trying to change it.
If it softens the edge even a little—it’s working.

When relief arrives, you’ll know. It might feel like a breath. A release. A moment of stillness where you’re not spiralling.

It’s okay to sit in “slightly better” for a while.
